So let's start from the beginning, what is diabetes ? Diabetes is a condition in which the sugar level of our body becomes high. Now how it happens. The food we eat goes into stomach and break down into glucose (sugar) and the sugar provides energy to our body. Now the glucose goes into the body cells through the blood stream and one more thing known as insulin which produces in pancreas helps glucose to enter in the body cells. Now in some cases the pancreas is unable to produce the exact amount of insulin and it results that the sugar particles are also unable to enter into the body cells because insulin helps them to do so. And in another case the pancreas produces the right amount but the body cells don't accept the insulin and again as a result the sugar is unable to enter in the body cell. And in both cases the sugar remain out of the body cells in the blood stream and after some time sugar level in the blood stream become very high and you got the Diabetes or high blood sugar.
